The USA Import shop acquired the legendary DDA DMR12 mixing console, a pivotal instrument in the emergence of new beat music in Antwerp. Renowned for its superior sound quality and advanced features, the DDA DMR12 played a crucial role in shaping the sound of the late 1980s and early 1990s. Its ability to seamlessly blend various audio elements enabled DJs and producers to experiment and innovate, leading to the creation of a unique musical genre that captured the essence of the city’s underground scene.
When the table came up for sale, DOCK 21 stepped in to ensure this iconic piece of musical history remained in Belgium. Today, the DMR12 continues to serve in our studio, not only as a symbol of the past but as a functional, working table, still powering creative production and inspiring a new generation of artists. It stands as a testament to both its enduring quality and its ongoing relevance in modern music.
